This page defines Army, which can be used as a value of the "specific_type" parameter in {{infobox military unit}} like this:

| type = Formation
| specific_type = Army
| size_at_full_strength = 150,000+

As a unit type, an army was a large tactical formation consisting of two or more tactical corps and a large number of artillery, medical, engineering and other support units attached directly to the army's headquarters as Army Troops. 'Army' was also used to describe services such as the British Army or US Army, but this is a different thing from the tactical formation.
