Personal narratives
Alec Thomson
Imperial War Museum Sound Archive, catalogue number 11460: interview with Alec Thomson recorded in 1990. Catalogue entry shows that he served with these units:
- G Company, 3rd Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers, UK (November 1914 to April 1915, January 1916)
- C Company, 2nd Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers, UK (April to May 1915, then wounded and returned to UK)
- 3rd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, UK (1916-1917)
- Labour Corps, UK (1917-1918)
Also spent time in Craigreith Hospital, Edinburgh and other hospitals while wounded.
There were two soldiers called Alexander Thomson who served in the KOSB and Labour Corps, numbers 24893 and 3416. The latter is more likely to be this one, but we need more evidence to prove it.
